As a preferred Google vendor, Brand Addition is committed to sustainability practices including (but not limited to): responsible sourcing, stocking environmentally preferred products, providing greener shipper options and using more recyclable & plastic-free packaging. OUR RECYCLABLE PACKAGING
All the outer packaging cartons that we ship orders out in are 100% recyclable and FSC certified fiber, 70% of our cartons are also made from recycled content and we only use recyclable paper bags, paper void fill, packaging stickers, and tape. We continue to challenge our supply chain to produce only minimal and necessary product packaging.
CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPING OPTIONS
Where permissible, we use our preferred courier’s GOGREEN service for shipping (available in 40 countries). All transport-related emissions of carbon dioxide are first calculated and then offset through external climate protection projects. The carbon credits generated from these external climate protection projects are managed by the courier’s in-house Carbon Management team. Carbon Management, all GOGREEN processes, and the emissions-calculation methodology are verified annually by a third-party verifier, SGS.
PARTNERSHIPS & SUPPLY CHAIN
We prioritise collaborating with premium brands that champion clear and tangible sustainability commitments. For example, the sale of each our Ocean Bottles will fund the safe collection of 11.4kg of ocean-bound plastic waste. 87% of Patagonia 2022 Apparel is made from recycled raw materials and the company have donated 1% of their sales revenue to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment since 1985 and continue to do so via the 1% for the Planet alliance they founded.
APPAREL MADE FROM ORGANIC COTTON
All Google garments are woven from cotton originating from non-GMO seeds and crops grown without use of pesticides or fertilisers. Organic cotton farming uses natural methods, such as crop rotation, which benefit not only the soil, fauna, and the environment, but create biodiversity and promote a good quality of life for farmers and their communities. Organic cotton uses 91% less surface and ground water and has 46% less impact on Global Warming.
SUSTAINABLE STATIONERY
In addition to offering a range of Google notebooks made with recycled and FSC paper, we also stock writing materials manufactured from post-industrial waste. Made from apple peel, vegetable fibres and sustainable pulp, our Appeel notebooks are crafted from materials usually discarded, and they’re manufactured with pioneering technology running on 100% green hydroelectric energy!
